As summer is winding down in North Georgia (today’s high temp is “only” 89F, 32C), insects are everywhere, spinning cocoons, laying eggs and birthing babies. I’ve posted a few photographs on The Accidental Gardener. Here are a few more.

I love the colour on that Solenostemon (Coleus). We have had cool temperatures this last week or so, but it is supposed to be better this week. Up to 68°F (19/20°C) in the day, but as low as 44°F (7°C) at night, so time to think of wrapping delicate plants or taking them indoors. I’m willing summer to continue.

Wow Lya – Heebie jeebies! I thing entomologist would have been my last choice of scientist to be – I can handle bugs but the top one, a white prickly catepillar, that’s pushing it
