Although I do not think this is as complete as other ceramics books I have reviewed, it is very good. Each project is graded for skill levels and the projects are categorized too. The book includes a quick history of ceramics, basic tools and equipment.
The essence of this practical book is to learn all about ceramics. It does this effectively by taking you through the different ways of making ceramics. Discover pinch pots, coiling, slabwork, throwing and slip casting. There are also more advanced techniques. You will acquire simple but effective techniques of working with clay. The examples given are by various designers.
This is a beautifully produced book with excellent photography. The 160 page book showcases the work of 10 designers. Both UK and US suppliers are given.
