The comprehensive information is combined with clear text and easy to follow line drawings and photographs. There is plenty of information on getting started. With every technique you learn, there is a knit something now section and I really liked this, even though I felt the projects were rather unexciting on the whole. What you are getting is a good grounding in skills. If you follow the book from beginning to end, you will have learned most of the basics of knitting. There are a variety of knitting stitches to enable you to let your knitting needles fly and your imagination run free. Crochet is treated in the same way – so this book has a double whammy.
