This might well qualify for one of the world’s most beautiful books. It certainly is a firm favourite with me. It is the first book of its kind to take an in-depth look at the jewellery of Pforzheim. The book gives a history of the art nouveau movement in Pforzheim and details the background history and artists involved. The text is bilingual – German/English.
The strength of this book is in its lavish photography and production – both are superb. The photography perfectly portrays the exquisite jewellery. I doubt if this 328 page book can be bettered. It is sublime. I loved it – it’s sheer delight from beginning to end. It is without doubt my favourite art/jewellery book of the year.
