A directory of more than 250 stitches will easily satisfy most knitters and help them to conjure up unique sweaters. The illustrations and instructions are clear and this book picks up extra points for lying flat – useful when you are knitting. All the usual stitch pattern types are catered for from knit and purl to lace. However, I would have put some of the fair-isle patterns into the intarsia section, as that is where they belong.
