This book is subtitled ‘Classic and Modern Designs in the Scandinavian Tradition’, yet I have to admit that I was disappointed in the designs because they are not what I was looking for as ‘Swedish’. This book is suitable for new knitters, and has some very good knitting tips for all levels of knitters. It’s a beautifully produced book with many swatches and stitches to get you thinking about your own designs. The patterns are interesting too and as the authors are Swedish, they must be based on Swedish designs, but if you were looking, like me, for classic Swedish motifs, they are not found here in any quantity. There are two Norwegian classic designs, one fair-isle and one argyll style.
