I believe there are motifs and stitches too that I have not seen in other books on this subject. Crochet is undergoing a revival and I believe the information in this book could lead you to use crochet intuitively and innovatively to create new patterns. I particularly liked the freeform section and wish there had been more on this. An all-round excellent book on crochet.
