Hand Knitting Patterns Peak District Collection
10 hand knitting patterns inspired by the wonderful Peak District. This collection consists of accessories such as hats, scarf, mitts, stole, socks, two shawls, and clothing in the form of a cardigan and a bolero. Knitwear designer, Karen Platt has designed and tested all the hand knitting patterns. She has been a knitwear designer since the early 90s.
A unique collection of knitwear for women inspired by the scenery and texture of the Peak District. The idea for this ebook came to Karen after a walk on Stanage Edge in the summer. She thought it would be wonderful to capture the colours of the Peak in different seasons. In the Peak it is always a good idea to wear layers, hence the wraps and shawls and hats and gloves. Textured patterns are used on most of the designs. Many take just 100g of yarn or under.
The pattern book features 4 ply merino, Tweed Aran and a mohair yarn. Hand dyed yarns were sought out for the pattern book. Patterns tend to be one size with alternative sizes given and suggestions to adapt the length etc. Full written instructions are included for every pattern. There are no charts nor graphs.
The pattern book is illustrated with Karen’s photos, not only of the knitwear, but also of the Peak District that inspired the collection. The patterns are sold as a pattern booklet only and not as separate knitting patterns.
The next planned knitting booklet is Cornwall – a very different pattern book of cardigans and sweaters inspired by the Cornish coast.
All patterns are copyright Karen Platt and are for personal use only. The patterns are not for commercial use.
This pattern book is sold as a manual downloadable ebook only. By clicking Buy, you are agreeing to waiver your rights to a refund once the pattern booklet is sent to you.
