Join me on a special block printing holiday for quilters in India. I am pleased to announce that I am working with the fabulous people at Colouricious to take you to India for a fantastic learning and cultural holiday.
This 10 day block printing for quilters holiday is the trip of a lifetime. We’ll be block printing in colourful Jaipur, where you will learn traditional techniques that you can then come home and apply to your own fabric to make individual quilts.
There is a local tour guide and you will soak up the atmosphere of all there is to see.
The highlights include block carving and printing workshops, elephant painting, Amer Fort, Jai Mahul, Chomu Palace, Hawa Mahal, craft textile museum, blue pottery and fabric factory and markets.
You will be travelling with a maximum of 18 other like-minded people. This is the best way to see and learn the traditional crafts of India with other artists like yourself.
Colouricious has a track record of providing these holidays throughout the year. Jamie of Colouricious has had chosen the accommodation, a privately owned family hotel and other details. The hotel has its own organic farm. Breakfast and dinner are included where stipulated and there is a private coach to take us to workshops and sightseeing.
I don’t know about you – but I can hardly wait. India is so inspiring in colour alone, I know we will all fall in love with it instantly. We’ll gather memories to last a lifetime. So come and join me for a whole lot of learning, fun and shopping.
