Quilt One Block Wonder Hand Finished Machine Stitched.
This quilt is made in a One Block Wonder (OBW) pattern, hand cut, machine stitched and quilted as well as hand finished by Karen Platt.
It is made with a bright pattern of 15 colours, with purple and pink borders and purple binding that is hand finished. It is suitable for a wall hanging, small bed quilt or lap quilt. It features bold swirls and a girl’s face in attractive colours.
The reverse is made in blocks of similar strong colours such as purple, pink, yellow, with a feature stripe the entire width of the quilt in the fabric used on the front.
The quilt was designed, cut, pieced, stitched, quilted and finished entirely by Karen Platt. It features a hand sewn label. The machine quilting is stitch in the ditch.
This quilt is made in pure 100% cotton fabric, and the wadding is also 100% cotton. The variegated thread is 100% cotton too.
The measurements are: 166 x 166 cm (65 inch square). The fabric and wadding have not been pre-washed. I recommend hand washing at 30°C or cold wash only. Use Dreft or Woolite and Colour catchers. Line dry or preferably dry flat if at all possible. Do not rub or agitate too much. Lift the quilt carefully, distributing the weight evenly to avoid distortion.
N.B. I am selling this sample quilt I made. Perfect it would cost more than double this price. I have reduced the price because I know I made mistakes. The hexagons are not always perfectly matching and the quilting is not perfect either. However hung on the wall, these mistakes are hardly visible. N.B. Please request more photos if you are unsure. The product is sold as a sample with errors, any returns would mean you are paying postage both ways and that you pay a re-stocking fee as well, so there would be no full refund. Also the quilt must be returned immediately and in the same condition it was sent.
