Original acrylic painting on fabric featuring stunning trees against a green background, inspired by a forest. This acrylic painting is made on Bondaweb, which is then fused onto one of my hand dyed fabrics, in this case a piece of green medium calico, which is not hemmed. This is a unique handmade piece of abstract art as no two pieces are ever quite the same. I have called this piece of wall decor ‘Can’t See The Wood For The Trees’.
As an artist I use my intuition to interpret the places and things I love and translate them into paint and stitch. I love texture and emotion. This piece conveys my love of nature, the beauty of ubiquitous green. I never cease to be amazed by colour.
The original piece measures 36 x 18 cm (15 x 7 inch) on a hand dyed piece of calico 42 x 23 cm (17 x 9). It can be mounted or attached to the wall by other means. It makes an interesting wall hanging. It is sold unmounted.
It can be used as a painting or textile as it is, but could also be used to make a cushion or a centre piece for an innovative quilt for your own personal use or you can stitch into it by hand or machine.
