Workshop in France – Paint cave paintings

This workshop takes place in France. Come and learn to paint cave paintings inspired by ancient art. The workshop focuses on a variety of techniques for painting on canvas and on fabric too. So you can create fabulous mixed media paintings, collages or quilts or even fabric to wear. You do not need any previous experience at all.

Two fabulous visits will form part of the course subject to ticket availability. The planned visits are to an ancient art museum and to a local cave to soak up all the local inspiration.

You will have plenty of time to explore and respond to ancient art. I am a qualified and experienced teacher and will guide you along the way. I will be giving demonstrations on painting techniques including mixed media and texture on a variety of substrates including fabric using modern media. There will also be a talk on how cave paintings were created. You will have plenty of time to experiment and create a piece of unique art. Discover different ways to create texture and transfer designs to fabric.

Learn how to release your creativity and reach your creative potential inspired by cave paintings in the Dordogne region of France whilst enjoying the company of like-minded artists. You will be able to apply what you have learned to your future work.

You will need to book your workshop holiday through Sweet Nothings where the holiday takes place, using the link here to take you to their website to book.

Dates 12-18th November 2018. Limited spaces so please book now to avoid disappointment.

The previous week I am teaching quilt design inspired by the local Romanesque architecture. You can book this course here

I look very forward to meeting you in France.
